Our Chief Instructor

Our Chief instructor is Master Sammy Shajirat who has more than 21 years experience of teaching Olympic-style Taekwondo.  He has a 7th Dan and is recognised by British Taekwondo.  Master Sammy is a current fully qualified World instructor, having gained this in South Korea (Kukkiwon) in 2010 and in the UK in 2017. Additionally, he has completed instructor courses, Poomsae referee courses, and sparring.  He has his British Red Cross First Aid certificate and NVQ.

Master Sammy is also a qualified Personal Trainer, he teaches boxing and self-defense. He has run activities for children with all different types of needs.

In talking about his vision and drive Master Sammy says “I am a father with responsibilities for my two children.  I use my experience to help the youth and those with special needs to create goals…..I want to help take problems away from the ‘street’ and to help create a more peaceful world for our children.  I enjoy watching my students grow and develop, right from their first training day, up to when they receive their black belt”.
