GRADING
Karoon Taekwondo Academy's programs for kids teaches your children the skills they need to be successful! In our martial arts programs, your children learn valuable lessons in self-defense and self-discipline, giving them the confidence that helps keep them safe and excel in school!
Each colour belt has a unique meaning, the meanings represent the stage of development the student has reached by obtaining that belt. Below are the 6 colour belt meanings:
White
White signifies innocence, as that of a beginning student who has no previous knowledge of Taekwon-Do.
Yellow
Yellow signifies the Earth from which a plant sprouts and takes root as the Taekwon-Do foundations are being laid.
Green
Green signifies the plant's growth as the Taekwon-Do skills begins to develop.

BELTS ORDER / MEANINGS

Blue
Blue signifies the Heaven, towards which the plant matures into a towering tree as the training in Taekwon-Do progresses.
Red
Red signifies danger, cautioning the student to exercise control and warning the opponent to stay away.
Black
Black, is the opposite of white, therefore signifying maturity and proficiency in Taekwon-Do. It also indicates the wearer's imperviousness to darkness and fear.

I will train my mind as well as my body, by working hard at school
I will apply the black belt attitude at home as well as in class
I will not use Martial Arts to hurt or bully others
I will not use foul language or disrespect anyone’s religion and race
I will not judge anyone else’s ability… but concentrate on my own training
I will not let my parents and teachers down by being lazy and unhelpful
I will not give up when things get tough… I will work harder!
